Furthermore, it is always a good idea to create a System Restore Point prior to modifying the registry.

Download the tool and save it onto your desktop or other convenient location. Now double-click the tool to execute it. Click on Yes when a window similar to the following pops up:


Note that IE7 settings are "per user", so if your system has more than one login ID, you need to login to each user, and run the tool for each login. Note that you need to create a restore point only once, not for each user.
