Creating A Restore Point
It's always a good idea to create a System Restore Point prior to modifying the registry or important system files.


XP

For XP, go to:

Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore

then check "Create a restore point" and click on Next:

For the next window, type in a name and click on Create:

Finally,  click on Close in the next window when the restore point finishes:

Vista

For Vista, go to:

Start->All Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore

Click on  "open System Protection":

Now click on Create:

Now type in some name and click on Create:

And click on OK in the next window when the restore point is done:
